The Challenge

Following the acquisition of Savant, a project, cost and construction management consultancy, based in Russia, CIS and Eastern Europe, AECOM identified the need for the external appointment of a Building Services Design Director, to provide business development and technical leadership, helping expand AECOM’s global footprint in the region.

The Solution

Because of our extensive involvement in executive search in Eastern Europe, we were able to use our personal network to identify a particularly suitable candidate with an excellent local and international reputation from a Moscow based competitor. This individual had been known to us for four years after we had approached her for another prestigious Russian based opportunity we were handling.   Our continuing relationship with this outstanding candidate meant that she was open to discussions with us and our client.

The Outcome

Talks took place in Moscow between AECOM and the candidate, following which an offer was made and accepted. The candidate started earlier this year and the client is delighted with the high quality solution to a challenging recruitment issue.
